Gram Flour Creamy Pudding
You'll adore this "Pudding Halwa" made with besan (chickpea flour). Known as "Besan Ka Halwa," it is a wonderful Indian delicacy that is quick and easy to make.
Chickpea flour, often known as gram flour or besan, is readily available in Indian and Asian markets. The flour is made from crushed, dried chickpeas, and I regularly use this flour as a substitute for white flour in my sweets. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to six months.
This Gram Flour Creamy Pudding has a slightly gelatinous, custard-like texture that develops as the besan cooks and releases its natural binding properties. It's wonderfully easy to prepare, making it perfect when you have unexpected visitors or when you have a sweet tooth but don't want to spend hours in the kitchen.
Nutritional Benefits: Gram flour (besan) is rich in protein, fiber, and essential minerals like magnesium and potassium, supporting muscle health and digestive wellness. This cardamom-infused Asian pudding offers a naturally sweet, caramel-like flavor with the nourishing benefits of chickpea flour.
